Rachel Stewart is a charter member of Sienna. She was previously a member of the Bluegrass Belles (BGB), the Louisville Gender Society, the Tennessee Vals, the Saint Louis Gender Society, and the Central Illinois Gender Association. Wow, she does get around! She has been out to the gender community for over 20 years and when out in public is, as she says, "a first glance passable woman of indeterminate age." And, yes, she is over 29...
She describes herself as a "garden variety" CD with some TS leanings. She writes, "Being a gender-gifted person is more than just about the clothes (and shoes!). It is about combining your male and female sides and being proud and comfortable with who you are, regardless of your gender presentation."
Rachel is 5'5" and, ahem.., over 130 and prefers the "corporate" look with suits, jackets, heels and a polished look. She is trying very hard to wear more casual clothes (like our genetic females do) but admits it is an uphill battle for her. She is such a queen!
Rachel is a published author with articles in a number of different national gender community publications. Some of her works are available on this web site. Rachel was the newsletter editor for this group and has been for others. Over the years, Rachel has made informative and educational presentations to professional and interested community groups. She feels these activities are an essential part of the ongoing Sienna outreach program.
Rachel comments, "I appreciate your browsing this web site. For those of you who are transgendered, we hope that our group has demonstrated that you are not alone. For those non-TG people who are seeking information about transgender people, we hope that our web site has provided you with a basis for understanding us."
